EmotionAid® • Natural disaster zones / War • Beit Halochem TLV
In response to the significant increase in PTSD among discharged soldiers and veterans due to the outbreak of the October 7 War, we have initiated a pilot training program at Beit Halochem Tel Aviv.
This initiative focuses on therapists and volunteers, and staff, aiming to prevent burnout and enhance resilience for the discharged veterans.

A a pilot training program at Beit Halochem Tel Aviv targeting two key groups:
- Skippers
- Physiotherapists and hydrotherapists
- Psychoeducation to explain their new reality in this abnormal context
- Familiarization with the 5-steps protocols and how to self-regulate on the field and at home
- Support them in developing resources that help them
- 90 trained professionals and caregivers in 2025.
- 27,000 veterans benefiting from improved emotional support.

Beit Halochem centers are rehabilitation, sports, and recreation facilities in Israel. They serve over 62,000 disabled veterans and their families, providing therapeutic treatments, sports and recreational facilities, cultural and educational programs, scholarship support, and family-oriented activities to help them resume lives of purpose and dignity.
Recognizing the urgent need to support the mental health of Beit Halochem’s caregivers, EmotionAid® launched a pilot training program from October to December 2024, targeting two key groups:
- Skippers
- Physiotherapists and hydrotherapists
This fully funded pilot proved highly effective, impacting an estimated 3,000 veterans.
As Beit Halochem leadership stated: “We have been waiting for years to equip our caregivers with a method like EmotionAid.”

Following this success, 2025 marks the year of full-scale implementation at Beit Halochem Tel Aviv, with training expanded to include:
- Maintenance and security teams – Two groups of 15 participants each, trained in March and April 2025.
- Yoga and Pilates instructors – 15 to 20 participants, trained in April and May 2025.
These training sessions will equip nearly all permanent and volunteer staff with the tools to better manage stress and support the veterans they serve.
EmotionAid is a powerful yet simple tool for regulation, calming, and grounding. It is highly effective, first and foremost, for self-regulation, but also for supporting others—both adults and children—in various stress-related situations.
The course helped me learn to recognize the signs of tension, even mild ones, and provided me with a method to release that tension. The relief is immediate—felt in the breath, in the body, in the overall sensation.
I use it constantly in my personal life whenever I feel the need to ground myself, and I also integrate it into my work with patients who arrive feeling tense or sometimes distressed.
The course is structured progressively, allowing for gradual learning and integration through shared practice during sessions and in between meetings.
The instructors are sensitive, highly experienced, and professional, bringing an abundance of empathy and compassion.
