Summary
Placed at the front line emergency and first responders teams are confronted on a daily basis with traumatic situations such as accidents, natural disasters and terror attacks. Faced with stressed, shocked and traumatized victims, they must often carry the heavy burden of managing the worry and anguish of families or close relatives.
The Covid-19 health crisis exposes them even more physically and morally.
As a result of accumulated stress, first responders can experience physical, emotional and behavioral symptoms that sometimes result in moral injury, compassion fatigue, even burnout. The resulting damage represents a significant cost to our society from every point of view; and yet is possible to avoid.
Let’s help them to better help us!
EmotionAid® can be used by anybody, anywhere and anytime.
The EmotionAid® training will allow you to:
- Provide emotional first aid to victims and their loved ones as well as to your team of First-responders.
- Reduce the consequences of stress in emergency situations and in daily life for yourself and for others.
- Release the stress accumulated in the nervous system and in the body.
- Protect yourself from secondary trauma, compassion fatigue and moral injuries
- Prevent burnout.
- Strengthen individual and collective resilience (of an entire team, for example) to better cope with the challenges that accumulate.
